Do Tulku Rinpoche

Do Tulku Rinpoche is the resident lama and spiritual guide of the center. He was recognized by H.H. Sakya Trichen at the age of 17 as the reincarnation of the 5th Raktrul Rinpoche. His incarnation line goes back to the 1st Raktrul Rinpoche (17th century), a master of the Do Teng Monastery in East Tibet. After his recognition, he received an eleven-year training in Buddhist philosophy, practice, and debate at the Dzongsar Khyentse Chokyi Lodro Institute in India, from which he graduated with the title of an Acharya (Lopön). Since then, he has been teaching there as well as in Tibetan schools and guided monks’ retreats. Following the instructions of Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche, he now teaches regularly in Asia and Europe. He himself received teachings, transmissions, and initiations from some of the greatest masters of our time, including H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Sakya Trizin, Khenchen Kunga Wangchuk, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Dagchen Rinpoche, Luding Khenchen Rinpoche, and many more. Do Tulku Rinpoche works as a translator in the 84,000 project (http://84000.co) and is a lay practitioner. He lives with his family in Germany where he teaches regularly. He is appreciated for his learned, interactive and often unconventional and humorous way of communicating the Buddhist teachings.

Ingrid Hufen-Röck

Director of Hof Kuppen and Guest Teacher

Ingrid Hufen-Röck has been a practising Buddhist for over 25 years, mainly within the various Tibetan and Zen traditions. 15 years ago she was authorized by the 9th Kyabgön Traleg Rinpoche to act as a meditation teacher. For 20 years, she headed the psychosocial counselling center in a large media company. She is a psychotherapist, specializing in trauma therapy, gestalt therapy, sexual and couples therapy, as well as the founder of the “Halscheider Model”. In 2015, she co-founded the “Akademie für Resilienz und Traumaberatung eV” (Academy for Resilience and Trauma Therapy). Sangngag Tenzin Rinpoche

Guest teacher

Rinpoche was born in 1970 in Golok, Tibet. At the age of 13, he was recognized by a master from the region as a very special child. Three years later, Dzogchen Tulku Kunsang brought him to the Dzogchen Monastery, where he received extensive training in the rituals of the Ngagyur Nyingma tradition.

A dream in which the Bodhisattva Chenrezig appeared to him, showed him the way to his main root Lama, his Holiness Drubwang Penor Rinpoche, to South India.

After a hard journey and pilgrimage, he was recognized soon after his arrival as a reincarnation of Ken-Trultrim Yonten Gyatso, whose former incarnation was Shang-Na-Nam-Yesli-De, one of the direct main disciples of Guru Padmasambhava.

S. H. Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, S.H. the Dalai Lama and S.H. Sakya Trinzin are also among his main teachers.

Rinpoche taught in various monasteries in India and Nepal before eventually establishing his own center in Kathmandu. He is married and has five children.

Traleg Khandro

Guest Teacher

Traleg Khandro, long-time student and wife to the late Traleg Kyabgon Rinpoche IX, is the Director of E-Vam Buddhist Institute in the U.S. and Nyima Centre Online Learning in Australia. Khandro studied Buddhism under Traleg Rinpoche’s guidance for 30 years and has undertaken numerous long meditation retreats. At Rinpoche’s request, Khandro received traditional Tibetan Yoga training, is a qualified Hatha Yoga instructor, and has a degree in psychology. Thus her courses include breath work, gentle stretching and meditation. Khandro gives teachings on Buddhism in Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe. Arne Schelling

Guest Teacher and Translator

Arne Schelling was born in Germany, where he practices Western and Chinese medicine. In 1989 he began to study and practice intensively under the guidance of various Buddhist masters of all Tibetan traditions, especially guided by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and Jigme Khyentse Rinpoche. Since 1995 Arne has been familiarizing himself with the Tibetan language and managing various Tibetan Buddhist centers in Germany. He has also been very involved in Buddhist film projects since 1999 and is responsible for creating digital archives of the teachings of many masters. Arne began to translate for Buddhist teachers from Tibetan and Zen traditions in 1999 and is now doing simultaneous live translations of around 20 Rinpoches per year in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. He also worked as a translator and editor for many books, including “What Makes You (Not) a Buddhist”, “Not for Happiness”, “Ngöndro Commentary”, “Madhyamakavatara Commentary”, “Wild Awakening”, for sadhana practices and for different Buddhist magazines. Arne has volunteered at Manjughosha Edition and has been translating sutras for the 84,000 project sine 2011. In 2006, he began guiding Buddhist meditation classes and giving lectures on the study of classical Buddhist texts in various European countries. At the moment, Arne is also offering a bi-weekly online seminar on the Bodhicharyavatara. Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche appointed him as an instructor in 2008 and assigned him to take care of the first European Dharma Gar in 2008. His aspiration is to allow people to connect with Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche and Rinpoche's teachings.

Rebecca Hufen

Manager of Arya Tara's Net, Guest Teacher and Translator

Rebecca Hufen has been involved with Buddhism since her childhood and with yoga for over 15 years. She studied Tibetology, classical Indology and comparative religions sciences at the University of Hamburg as well as at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies in Sarah, India. After completing her studies with the Magister Artium she taught for four years as a Tibetan lecturer at the University of Hamburg. She also taught several Tibetan Intensive Courses at the Institut Tibétain Yeuntenling in Belgium and supported the team of the "Khyentse Center for Tibetan Buddhist Textual Scholarship" at workshops in India and Bhutan. She is a translator in the international 84,000 project and, after a three-year apprenticeship, became a certified and state-approved yoga teacher (AYA).
