About the course
We are very happy that Lama Sherab Drolma is finally able to visit us again! As she resides in Chagdud Gonpa Khadro Ling in Brazil, this is a very rare opportunity to meet this wonderful teacher in person.
During the weekend Lama Sherab will give teachings on one of the most important topics in Mahāyāna Buddhism: Bodhicitta. The very idea of living a positive life in such turbulent times sounds almost impossible to some of us. It can be all the more challenging to add on top of that the thought of helping others with our aspirations and actions.
The bodhisattva is a compassionate warrior, someone who strives for transcendence through his mind and commitment to the world, manifesting immeasurable qualities for the benefit of all. In order not to be intimidated by this aspiration, as practitioners of the Buddhadharma we must be farsighted and think in the long term; however, we should also not miss the opportunity to do all we can right now, in the present moment.
In these teachings, Lama Sherab will present some advice and key points of the Buddhist path so that we can achieve the highest goal: complete enlightenment for the benefit of all beings, the state of Buddhahood.
Lama Sherab will teach in English and will be translated into German if needed (please specify when registering).
About Lama Sherab Drolma
Lama Sherab Drolma was authorized as a Lama by H.E. Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche in 2002 and over time has become a globally recognized and respected teacher. Until his passing, she served Rinpoche as translator, personal attendant and administrator of his Dharma activities. She is resident lama of Chagdud Khadro Ling, the largest Buddhist center in Brazil, and teaches there throughout the country, assisting practitioners with teachings, advice and practice. In addition, she is an extraordinary Lama dancer who authentically expresses the meaning of meditation through movement. Lama Sherab occasionally visits and teaches in the United States and Europe.
