Buddha Shakyamuni Retreat
time & place
About the course
All Buddhist schools follow Buddha Shakyamuni. As Buddhists, we owe everything to him. Yet in the midst of all the different teachers, doctrines, practices, rituals, etc., we often seem to forget him. During this retreat we would like to return to the source of Dharma, at the feet of the one who has transcended samsara. We will talk, reflect, and meditate on the Buddha and his life. And we will contemplate the qualities, the importance, and influence of a buddha - a wonderful contemplative way to end the old year. The only requirement for this retreat is devotion to the Buddha.
